Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter
The promoter of this competition is NewcastleGateshead Initiative, whose registered office is at NGI, 2nd Floor, Neville Hall, Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1SE.

2. Competition dates
The competition opens on Friday 13 June 2025 at 10:00pm and closes on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at 12:00 noon. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

3. Entry requirements
To enter:

• Share your photo on Instagram

• Tag @mykindoftoon

• Use the hashtag #visitifyoudare

4. Eligibility
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, Visit Northumberland, Sony, Visit Durham, and their immediate families or anyone else professionally connected with this competition.

5. Entry conditions

• There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

• By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

• The competition will run on Instagram only.

• Only one post per person will be counted, but multiple unique entries are allowed.

6. The prize

• 2 tickets to the 28 Years Later Gala screening at Tyneside Cinema on 19 June 2025

• The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is non-transferable.

• NewcastleGateshead Initiative reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value if necessary.

7. Winner selection and notification

• The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using randomisation software.

• The winner will be contacted via DM from the official @mykindoftoon Instagram account within 24 hours days of the competition closing.

• The prize will need to be confirmed before 12PM Thursday 19 June to secure your prize. After this time, we would unfortunately need to redraw and select a new winner, and your entry will no longer be valid.

• The winner must provide their full name, email address and contact number to redeem the prize.

8. Data and publicity

• The winner agrees to the use of their Instagram handle and image in publicity material.

• Personal data will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent.

9. General conditions

• NewcastleGateshead Initiative reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

• The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied by any third party.

• The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

• The competition and these terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
