Bored with the usual places to go for lunch? Don’t fancy another sandwich on the go? Join Blackfriars Cookery School for more dynamic lunch with a 1-hour Express cookery classes tackling a classic Indonesian favourite: Nasi Goreng!
You will learn to make a classic street food dish that can take you to the streets of Bangkok or Mumbai and back, prepared at your very own individual workstation. Each class focuses on a particular street food, giving the chance to explore new and authentic ingredients in just one hour!
This workshop looks at one of the tastiest dishes in the world that you may never have heard of. Classed as the national dish of Indonesia, Nasi Goreng is a fried rice like you have never tasted. Learn how to make this seafood and vegetable fried rice flavoured with south east Asian spices and topped with a crispy fried egg.
Once the cooking is over you can sit, with a beer or glass of fizz, and consume your handiwork. These courses are designed to be relaxed, informative and fun.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons can be borrowed though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. And bring your enthusiasm!
